The Blackview Shark 8 should still be powerful enough to accompany you in everyday life. Bargain hunters can take the discounted ex-flagship with a voucher from 145 dollars.

• The Blackview Shark 8 is the manufacturer's 2023 flagship.
• You can currently get it at Amazon for 145 dollars.
• It is available in three different colors.

The Blackview Shark 8 was recently replaced as the flagship smartphone by the brand new Shark 9. Nevertheless, the Shark 8 is convincing with its display, design and of course the price. You can get it on Amazon from 145 dollars.

High-resolution and responsive display

The display of the Blackview Shark 8 is 6.78 inches. Unfortunately it is not AMOLED, but IPS, which is completely normal in this price range. It scores with a 2.4K resolution, which corresponds to the Full HD+ format at 1,080 x 2,460 pixels. The refresh rate of up to 120 Hertz can adjust automatically to ensure a smooth user experience in a timely manner and to save power at the right moments. Even the brand new Apple iPhone 16 only has 60 Hertz.

The Mediatek Helio G99 is used as the processor. As long as you don't play complex 3D games on your smartphone, it should easily get you through everyday life with smooth performance. The same can be said about the 5,000 milliamp hour battery. This supports fast charging with 33 watts.

• 6.78 inch display with 2.4K resolution and 120 Hertz

• 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage

• My battery is 5,000 mAh

• Coupon code ARQW3GY7

At Amazon you can now grab the Blackview Shark 8 in Moonlight Gray for 160 instead of 200 dollars if you check the 40 euro coupon when purchasing. You can secure the cell phone at the best price. You can save even more with the other colors: With the voucher code ARQW3GY7 you save another 9% on these variants and only pay just under 145 dollars.

There is also a lot of memory built in. The variant of the Blackview Shark 8 on offer has 256 gigabytes of storage. With the iPhone 16, the upgrade from 128 GB to 256 GB alone costs almost as much (130 dollars) as the Shark 8 in total. In addition, the device memory of the Blackview cell phone can be expanded to two terabytes.

The Shark 8 has eight gigabytes of RAM. That's good for this price range, where you can often find six or four. The product description on Amazon advertises 16 gigabytes of RAM, but eight gigabytes of that are virtual RAM. That's still better than eight gigabytes of physical RAM alone. If you like to have a lot of apps open, that can make a real difference.

In the device information, Blackview writes that the 64 megapixel main camera and the 13 megapixel front camera are from Samsung. Although this is no guarantee of a good camera, it does promise good results for this price range. Especially since several reviews on Amazon emphasize how good the camera is for such a cheap smartphone. If you spend just a little more money, you can also secure the successor Shark 9 at a bargain price instead.
