Sonic X Shadows Generations is coming soon and hasn’t revealed all its secrets yet. There’s also a teaser on the official website. Sega could well throw up a surprise a few months before release.
The blue hedgehog returns in Sonic at the end of the year
Two games in one, that’s the promise of this Sonic X Shadow Generation, which actually offers an independent campaign in which we will play Shadow, the dark version of Sonic. A black and red hedgehog, very charismatic, who will have his own powers. At his side we will discover a whole new world and will be able to explore and discover certain levels in a completely different way.
SEGA hasn’t revealed everything about Sonic X Shadows Generations yet
All this has already been announced, but recently the game’s official Japanese website announced the arrival of a surprise, an unannounced playable character.
To promote the dual aspects of Sonic X Shadow Generation, the website is divided into two parts. A blue part in the colors of the SEGA mascot, presenting us with the modernized hedgehog and a classic version of himself, and the entire Sonic Generations part.
A second part also introduces Shadows, the black hedgehog, and his exclusive campaign. On this page, in the playable characters section, we can see an empty square decorated with a “Coming Soon”. Something is coming that has not yet been announced.
It could just as easily be a new playable hero or simply a new version of Shadow. The mystery is still complete at the time of writing. We will surely know more soon.
Sonic X Shadow Generations will be released on October 25, 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series, PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One.
