PlayStation just announced that it’s doing a special live stream tomorrow, and it can’t be about anything other than the PS5 Pro, right?
It seems like there have been rumors of a PS5 Pro since the PS5 was announced, which isn’t entirely surprising considering the PS4 Pro. But Sony just hasn’t said anything about it, even though we all knew it was definitely coming out for some time. With PlayStation announcing the PlayStation 5 with a tech presentation hosted by PS4 and PS5 architect Mark Cerny, there’s no way they’re really going to reveal anything other than the PS5 Pro, right?

Like, it had to be, especially considering the demo was nine minutes long. Mark, I’m not going to watch you spend nine minutes talking about a new controller, so you better have something interesting to say. Also, as part of the PlayStation’s 30th anniversary celebrations, a new piece of art almost certainly previewed the design of the PS5 Pro (it also came with a playlist featuring Livin La Vida Loca, so you have to wonder if that’s going to show up).

The PlayStation YouTube channel will be live at 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm BST, so it’ll be a little early for those on the west coast of the US. There are a few details on the PlayStation blog, but it really only tells us that it will be “focused on innovation with PS5 and gaming technology.” Speaking of innovation, I’m curious if PlayStation has anything else planned, but I’m not going to bet on that either.
Obviously there’s also the cost issue, the standard PS5 costs $500 and we’re probably looking at over $600, so it’s definitely a luxury item. But hey, considering all these games the PS5 has, I’m sure it’s definitely worth it, right? Right?
