Sony has recently emphasized several times that it wants to bring more of its own PlayStation exclusive games to the PC. The newly acquired development studio Nixxes is now supposed to help.
The company has now confirmed that the Netherlands-based studio Nixxes Software, which was recently acquired by Sony, will in particular help port more PlayStation games to the PC. In this regard, Sony CEO Jim Ryan has now spoken to the Japanese Famitsu
Nixxes was bought in order to expand the general development capacities and to develop “more exclusive titles”. Ryan then specifically adds that Nixxes “will help in the effort to bring our IP to PCs”.
“Nixxes will be a strong asset for everyone at PlayStation Studios and will help our teams focus on their most important goal: creating unique PlayStation content in the best possible quality,” added Hermen Hulst, Head of PlayStation Studios. He also affirmed that more PlayStation exclusive games will find their way to the PC in the future.
