Rumors about the next Nintendo Direct continue. No sooner had the new year begun than Yummy certifying to whom in particular we owed the name Zelda Tears of the Kingdom in advance had ignited the web thesis a new event that would give news about a Metroid Prime game. New clues seem to point to one Showcase
A Nintendo Direct with Zelda BOTW 2 is imminent?
To say that The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is one of this year’s most anticipated games would be an understatement. Nintendo is pulling out all the stops to prepare for the release of its new one system vendor by producing even more consoles than in previous years. Since its announcement, however, things have been relatively quiet about the open-world role-playing game. Few concrete details are known, such as about its scenario or even its new gameplay. As we know, the publisher will communicate ahead of its scheduled May 12 release. However, the editor’s next speech may be closer than we thought.
In fact, several users noticed that the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and Advance Wars 1+2 Reboot Camp e-shop pages were discreetly updated at the same time. Canada’s Nintendo Switch Store has also received new NSUID codes, suggesting the opening of pre-orders in American regions is imminent. In fact, if Zelda BOTW 2 is already available for reservation with us, the rest of the world is not.
New video fuels rumours
Following Big N’s communication pattern, this means that the Japanese publisher will be releasing new information about these two games soon. So everything indicates that a Nintendo Direct with a bit of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is in the pipeline, but of course the information is to be taken with a grain of salt as it’s just speculation at the moment. It could just as well be that the publisher is content with a trailer and simple social media posts to announce the opening of global pre-orders.
However, this Tuesday, January 31, 2023, Nintendo wreaked havoc. The American branch’s YouTube channel has in fact published a video announcing the return of Nintendo Switch Online Game Vouchers. A process whereby you receive discounts on a selection of exclusive products by buying them in pairs. If it’s still available in Europe, it hasn’t been in the United States for four years. The airing of this announcement appears to have been a mistake as the video has since been shared privately. Internet users are therefore convinced that a Nintendo Direct may be imminent with Zelda BOTW 2. We’ll find out soon enough anyway.
