Wuchang: Fallen Feather is one of the few games confirmed in advance to be showcased at tonight’s Xbox Partner Showcase. Well, the game’s big moment happened right at the show, and it was everything we hoped for.
As promised, the trailer shows off some new footage from the Soulsborne action RPG, focusing on some of the game’s bosses.

It has some gorgeous art direction, a smooth soundtrack, and some really interesting looking abilities. Including what looks like dodge counters and AOE flower magic. Not to mention the tense-looking boss battles, which we all know are a must-have for games like this.
This is actually the second time “Impermanence: Fallen Feather” has appeared on the Xbox stage. The game was first unveiled at the Xbox 2024 Summer Showcase in June this year. Wuchang is heavily inspired by the Souls games. It is set in the late Ming Dynasty of China, but has obvious fantasy elements.
However, we’ve known about it for much longer, as it was first revealed back in 2021 when it was still in the early stages of development. After watching 20 minutes or so of footage from developer Leenzee’s then-debut game, I called it Bloodborne.
We don’t have an exact release date for the game yet, but Impermanence: Featherfall is scheduled to release in 2025 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. This is also the first day of Game Pass launch across PC and consoles. You can also wishlist it on Steam now to stay updated.
