The ghost of Tsushima, the online part of the legend is being released independently.
With a standalone version Tsushima Soul: Legend, A new Rivals mode will be added to the free game update that was once the original version.
In Legends, you can fight side by side with your friends and participate in two-person story missions and four-person survival missions, as well as raids.
Legends is a free content update for those who already own the core game. The owner of any version can get every update of it for free.
Players on PS4 and PS5 will also be able to play together seamlessly, no matter which console you play on, the progress of the legend will continue.
Now in terms of Rivals mode, two teams will be able to compete to defeat waves of enemies. Every time you defeat an enemy, you will collect Magatama that can be used to damage another team. An example is the shadow, you can buy it with Magatama to stop the opponent’s purchase, or spend it on a curse that consumes health, etc.
Once you have spent enough game currency, you will unlock the Final Stand waves, and you need to complete these waves before other teams complete to win.
Both the Rivals mode and the independent version of Legends will be launched on September 3.
In addition, on September 3rd, Sucker Punch will release the Gear Mastery system, which is an extension of the legendary progress system and rewards. Players with level 110 equipment can now bind it to a class and activate the “Mastery Challenge”. This will allow the Ki level of a piece of equipment to be upgraded to 120 and eventually unlock the second perk slot. When you activate the mastery challenge, you can also unlock new abilities and new skills for each class.
Starting on August 20, the release date of Tsushima Ghost: Director’s Cut Edition, the developers will also release updates to add new features to the legend. The update will include some changes based on community feedback. The update will see a rebalance to survival mode, which will shorten the session length. It will also add a new weekly survival nightmare challenge variant, and will unlock additional cosmetics for legendary players acquired in Jin’s story and New Game+.
Similarly, if you already own the Soul of Tsushima, all the above content will be provided for free. However, if you don’t have a base game and want to try “Legend”, the standalone version will be available on PS4 or PS5 at the PS store for 19.99 USD/19.99 EUR/15.99 GBP.
Except for some cosmetics that can only be unlocked through a single player campaign, this is the same as the legendary content accessed through the game, so in addition to all the new content mentioned above, you can also access content released in 2020.
Finally, in addition to the above content, Sucker Punch will add a new content every week from September 10 to October 1. The content will include additional Rivals maps, new survival maps inspired by the Iki Island and Iyo realms, and Trials of Iyo, a new harder version of Raid last year.
