has announced full mod support to turn the game into a “new Skyrim

Space Marine II was released some time ago, and since then, we’ve seen several free updates and a number of community-made mods.

However, what Dmitry Grigorenko, the director of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II, just announced in the game’s official Discord server could turn this title into something immortal.

The Skyrim of Warhammer?

Described by Saber Interactive as “our greatest achievement so far in supporting the modding community,” the studio has now publicly released the official Integration Studio.

This is the same editor the developers used internally to shape the gameplay of this sequel. Now, it allows any modder to tweak environments, modify AI and the UI, change the combat system, and much more.

“Recently, I promised we’d support the modding scene—and we meant it,” said Grigorenko. “Watching this community grow, push boundaries, and create amazing experiences has been both inspiring and humbling. We can’t wait to see what you build next.”

Community Reactions and Modder Plans

With this in mind, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II could become something like Skyrim—a benchmark for the modding scene—and receive loads of previously unthinkable content.

The news has been a huge boost of hope for many fans, including modder Tomwho shared some of his plans for the game in an interview.

For now, this well-known modder plans to add new factions:

• Add new factions like the You and Necrons

• Even create a fishing minigame—a playful challenge mentioned by the game’s director

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II is caught between two worlds: on one hand, it’s a game they just don’t make anymore—brutal, simple, and unapologetic.
