The new tactical shooter Spectre Divide will soon enter Early Access and will then be available to anyone interested. But of course the game is not yet at the end of development.
With Spectre Divide, fans of tactical shooters have another promising candidate at their disposal that has certainly caused a stir. The game was recently in a closed beta test phase, which has now been successfully completed. After the positive outcome of this closed beta, developer Mountaintop was now able to announce a release date.
Spectre Divide will be available worldwide from September 3, 2024, albeit still in an early access version on the PC. This also means that this first release is by no means the finished game; rather, this version will be optimized over time and further supplemented with fresh game content.
The title focuses on competitive 3v3 matches with eSports in mind. Michael “shroud” Grzesiek, among others, contributed his professional expertise to the development.
The unique concept of the tactical shooter means that players control two bodies: a tangible body and a so-called spectre. If the living character dies, you continue to control the spectral form. Apart from that, the gameplay is probably most comparable to its competitor Valorant from Riot Games.
At release, there will be four maps, 20 weapons and both ranked and casual playlists. Playing is generally free, but there are paid cosmetic items.
