With titles like Heavy Rain, Quantic Dream cemented its reputation as a studio with plenty of story-adventure expertise. So far, the games have mostly been large-scale productions. With the new label Spotlight by Quantic Dream, however, they now want to give indie developers their place in the limelight.
The French studio Quantic Dream is best known for story adventures with profound stories and the consequences of your actions. Every player should have heard names like Heavy Rain, Detroit: Become Human or Beyond Two Souls at least once. The game company is currently working on Star Wars Eclipse, a title based on the popular Star Wars franchise.

In addition to all the major productions, Quantic Dream now seems to want to offer other developers a stage. With Spotlight by Quantic Dream at least one new label has now been founded under which indie titles will be distributed.
According to its own statement, Spotlight supports the developers from the conception phase to publication. Appropriate advice and support should be provided for every step and every project. For example, the studios can use the motion capture and performance studio as well as the photogrammetry rig and Dolby Atmos-certified recording studio from Quantic Dream.
Two new titles are to be released under the Spotlight label in the coming months. First, the narrative adventure game Under The Waves from the French Parallel Studio, which will be released on August 29, 2023 for PC, Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5.
Also from France is Sand Door Studio, whose title Lysfanga: The Time Shift Warrior is supposed to represent a classic hack-and-slash. The release is planned sometime in the next few months, initially exclusively on the PC. Last but not least, Dustborn is another project in the pipeline, but it doesn’t have a release date yet.
