Square Enix today announced the release date for the JRPG Star Ocean: The Divine Force, which was announced in October.
Square Enix today announced that Star Ocean: The Divine Force will be released on October 27, 2022 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via Steam. It tells a story with diverse characters in which science fiction and fantasy merge. Pre-orders for the retail and digital versions will be available from June 30th.
The game offers two protagonists to choose from – with different perspectives on the story and different gameplay experiences: Raymond, the captain of the trading starship Ydas, and Laeticia, princess and knight of a kingdom on the underdeveloped planet Aster IV. Destiny brings Raymond, Laeticia and other allies together. All characters are designed by well-known artist Akiman (Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, Street Fighter series).
The game will be available physically and digitally as a Standard Edition for all platforms. A Digital Deluxe Edition is also available for all platforms. Purchasers of the same will receive the soundtrack as well as in-game items, including armor, accessory, and weapon sets.
