In “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” we get to know a completely new crew of the starship Enterprise. The “Star Trek” new release is a spin-off of “Star Trek: Discovery” and logically brings back some familiar faces. Whether new or established: In 9 videos we get to know the new crew!
The series will start on May 5, 2022 on the US streaming service Paramount+ and here in Germany it will probably be released a day later. A streaming service has not yet been set to celebrate the reunion with Captain Pike, Spock and Uhura in this country, but it should be announced soon!
Star Trek: This is the Captain of the Enterprise, Christopher Pike!
We first met Anson Mount in “Star Trek: Discovery” as the charismatic Captain Pike. The character actually originated in the 1965 pilot episode of Starship Enterprise. He is Captain Kirk’s predecessor in the position of Captain of the Enterprise.
Already in “Star Trek: Discovery” Captain Pike learns that his life will take a tragic turn. Confined to a wheelchair, he can no longer even speak. While the knowledge of his future hovers heavily over his person, he tries to enjoy life and do as much as possible before it is no longer possible.
Star Trek: Pikes Number One, Una
The role of Una was only given a name by Rebecca Romijn. In the original series, she was played by Majel Barrett and only Number one called. Una is the first officer under Pike and does not seem to be able to catch up with the rest of the crew, as we learn in the video. Apparently the self-confident woman scares the other crew members.
