EA and DICE are releasing the "Age of Rebellion" update for the long-standing action game Star Wars: Battlefront II on February 26th – and it has it all. On all supported platforms, this new update focuses primarily on the cooperative game elements of the game that was initially heavily criticized.
"Age of Rebellion" takes up the original film trilogy in the co-op part of the title and brings you seven new locations that you can now visit together with up to three friends, namely: Yavin, Death Star 2, Endor, Hoth, Tatooine, Kessel and Jabba's Palace.
The capital ships known from supremacy mode should gradually make the leap into co-op mode in the future, starting with the Republic Venator and the Dreadnaught of the separatists in the current update. There are also two new reinforcement options in the form of the playable Ewok Hunter (rebels) and the ISB agents (Empire).
And: There are four new hums for you to let off steam in the course of the game. These are the E-11D blaster rifle, the iconic DL-18 blaster pistol, the T-21 heavy blaster rifle and the Cycler Rifle precision rifle. The weapons are available in full game, but must first be unlocked through specific kill targets in co-op mode.
Additional maps for "Heroes and Villains", balance changes, especially regarding Leia, interface adjustments and more complete the update. You can get a complete and very detailed overview here in official Star Wars: Battlefront II forum,
