Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PC has also fared from a made-to-measure launch as far as the title’s performance is concerned. The developers have now commented on the subject.
It feels like every PC release of a major title is currently struggling with numerous and significant problems. After The Last of Us: Part I was torn up a few weeks ago and a number of patches had to be released before the title ran satisfactorily, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has now also been hit, which is also struggling with huge performance problems. Spicy: EA and Respawn let it be known even before the release that various updates will be necessary over a longer period of time until the PC version runs smoothly – the fact was basically known before the release.
Since yesterday, the title is now officially available for the PC – and in fact there are numerous criticisms from players that the action sequel runs anything but well on the PC. High-performance computers are particularly affected. Now Respawn has commented on the topic.
One is aware that the game does not perform according to the high standards it has set itself, it says in the introduction. Above all, high-performance computers should be affected. In particular, gamers with multi-thread chips designed for Windows 11 can be particularly affected when using Windows 10.
“While there is no single, all-encompassing fix for PC performance, the team has been working on fixes that we believe will improve performance across a wide range of configurations.” Furthermore, they confirm that they want to deliver further problem fixes as soon as possible, but unfortunately every patch also requires a significant test phase so that no new problems are caused with it.
