Originally, Bethesda’s space role-playing game Starfield was supposed to be released on November 11th, 2022. As is well known, nothing came of it and since then RPG fans have been waiting for a fresh release date. The developers have finally taken heart and announced when the game will really take off.
Let’s not beat around the bush: Starfield will be released on September 6, 2023. About time. As is well known, Bethesda’s new role-playing game was supposed to take off in November last year, but as is well known, nothing came of it. So after a ton of rumors and fan angst, we can now cautiously look forward to the studio’s first new brand in 25 years. In the half year that remains before the release, there is definitely enough time for polishing.

The appropriately published trailer also clears up another rumor. At some point in the near future there would have been a big presentation. This is announced in the video, but only for June 11, 2023. The content of the “Starfield Direct” does not appear from it, but at least there is fresh fodder for starving space cowboys.
Bethesda definitely has big plans for Starfield. The developers promise more than 1,000 planets. Todd Howard himself pompously describes the game as “Skyrim in space”. The fights should take place both on planetary surfaces and in space and of course you can customize your ship in many ways.
Lots of promises, which often backfire. Let’s hope that we’ll be on cloud nine on September 6th and won’t be sucked into a black hole of disappointment. In any case, the date is exciting, after all, with Baldur’s Gate 3 on August 31, 2023, another RPG heavyweight will leave Early Access.
