The Steam Game Festival has almost established itself in the industry within a very short time. The next issue is now on the agenda – under a new name.
Due to the pandemic, numerous events had to be canceled or held digitally; there were also other digital events. The Steam Game Festival is basically still quite young, but has already established itself. So it’s no wonder that Valve continues to rely on the format and has now announced the next edition.
When the time comes, you will have to get used to a new name: The Steam Game Festival will be called Steam Next Fest in the future. With that you want “the focus [des Events] Communicate more directly, “says the reason for the renaming.
The date of the new edition is also included: The next Steam Next Fest is scheduled to take place in the period from June 16 to 22, 2021 – i.e. at the same time that E3 2021 will potentially take place. During the Steam event you should get the chance to try out literally “hundreds” of new game demos at home, to follow developer live streams or even to chat with the developer studios about upcoming titles.
The Steam Game Festival only made its debut in December 2019 – at the same time as journalist Geoff Keighley’s The Game Awards.
