Verdun, Elder Scrolls Classics & More – New & Free Games
Now back to the weekend deals. As was the case last time, we have once again picked out a few exciting offers for you that are worth a look or two.
The highlights of the weekend
Dying Light 2
10:24
Dy ing Light 2 Test Video – Lots of Light, Lots of Shade… wait a minute!
Genre: Ego-Shooter | Developer: Techland | Release: February 04, 2022 | Platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S| Preis: 47,99 Euro (20 percent discount) | Offer ends: 11. May
Dying Light 2 isn’t that old yet, but it’s now getting its first major discount campaign – with good reason. Because patch 1.3 has been available for a few days and brought the New Game+ requested by many fans into play. This means you can now play Dying Light 2 all over again and make new choices, but keep your items and level.
For new buyers, New Game+ may not be a decisive criterion, but Patch 1.3 also brought a few more improvements to Dying Light 2. This should make the zombie game, in which the story is one of the main strengths, play a little smoother than before to the release.
Resident Evil: Village

Resident Evil: Village Review Video – Is it the hit we were hoping for?
Genre: Action | Developer: Capcom | Release: 07. May 2021 | Platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S| Preis: 29,99 Euro (50 percent discount) | Offer ends: 02. May
Let’s stay with zombies and first-person perspective: These two aspects are also part of the game in Resident Evil: Village. But of course the eighth major part of the series offers a lot more: For example, an oversized vampire lady, werewolves, a tricky story with veteran Chris Redfield and a few other things.
Overall, Resident Evil Village does, like, among other things our test shows, pretty much right – especially in terms of gameplay, the latest part of the series is convincing. So if you’re in the mood for a crisp survival horror adventure this spring, then Resident Evil Village might be something for you.
Monster Hunter Rise
11:54
Monster Hunter Rise is finally coming to PC! All innovations & improvements
Genre: Action RPG | Developer: Capcom | Release: January 12, 2022 | Platforms: PC, Switch | Preis: 29,99 Euro (50 percent discount) | Offer ends: 11. May
While a sequel to the great Monster Hunter World is still a long way off, you can bridge the waiting time with Monster Hunter Rise. This was only released for the Nintendo Switch in 2021 and since January 2022 there has also been an implementation for the PC.
Technically, it’s impressive, even if it leaves a few feathers behind compared to World. In terms of play, on the other hand, there is the usual package: In Monster Hunter Rise you also hunt for sometimes huge creatures, where the varied and demanding combat system can shine. Fresh resources beckon as a reward, with which you can then produce new weapons, armor and other things.
By the way, there is more about Monster Hunter Rise in our detailed test of the PC version:

We Were Here Together
2:15
We Were Here Together – In this co-op adventure you have to talk to each other to survive
Genre: Adventure | Developer: Total Mayhem Games | Release: 10. October 2019 | Platforms: PC, Xbox One | Preis: 5,84 Euro (55 percent discount) | Offer ends: May 2nd
Co-op is a big thing in We Were Here Together. The puzzle adventure can only be played with two people and requires communication, because you won’t get ahead without teamwork. But what is it actually about?
As a player, you are part of an Antarctic expedition and are looking for your missing polar explorer colleagues. On the way, however, you end up in a medieval castle and are separated from your co-op partner. In the walls you now have to solve numerous puzzles in partner work to avoid dying or being held prisoner forever.
Deep Rock Galactic
6:36
Deep Rock Galactic: One of the best co-op games on Steam gets even bigger in Season 2
Genre: Ego-Shooter | Developer: Ghost Ship Games | Release: 13. May 2020 | Platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One | Preis: 14,99 Euro (50 percent discount) | Offer ends: 05. May
If colleague Phil were standing here now, he would certainly ask: How can you still not play Deep Rock Galactic?
After all, he has already explicitly recommended the co-op game with the trigger-happy dwarfs in a column and in a podcast. But if you haven’t followed this recommendation yet, you’ll have another opportunity to do so this weekend.
To summarize the gameplay briefly: In Deep Rock Galactic you control a group of dwarves who are mining in space, either alone or together with three friends. But the rare minerals are not for free, because alien beetles and other enemies await you in the depths of the various cave systems, and they don’t want to see you at all. In order to be successful, you must work well together in order to be able to collect as many materials as possible.
