Steam Next Fest kicked off yesterday with a slew of standalone demos available for you to download and play.
Steam Next Fest: June 2022 Edition Running until June 20th, in addition to the demos, the developers are participating in livestreams discussing their upcoming releases.
There are also chats with the developers themselves, which will continue for a while.
There will be demos for titles like the grand strategy title Great Houses of Calderia, set in a fantasy land inspired by the Renaissance; there’s Railbound, a puzzle game about fixing train connections; and Mythic is a Roguelite MMO where you can Explore infinite, procedurally-generated mazes; you can get a demo of the chaotic looking Dirty Animal, a multiplayer heist game for 1-4 players to take on the role of mutant animals; features Dwarven Skykeep, a Fun-looking game in which you can hire dwarves to build towers filled with magic crystals and armouries, and fight hordes; and you can try out single-player open-world survival: Fountain of Youth.
Interested in a strategic roguelike game that challenges monsters in a limited time? Then you’ll want to give Dungeon Siege a try. You can also download a demo for the story-driven co-op action-adventure game Leif’s Adventure: Netherworld Hero, and one for Cats and the Other Lives, which explores the reunion of broken families from the perspective of their house cat, Aspen.
Running on Magic is a force-scrolling platformer in which an eccentric wizard is chased by a tireless grim reaper; become Rast, an outlaw motorcyclist who loves to smuggle in Scrap Riders; if you’ve been craving a game with a good haunted house vibe Try Gearbox Publishing’s Croatian-developed monochrome “roguelight” Eyes in the Dark; also Fabular, a futuristic and medieval colliding roguelike; Roboty, a physics-based platformer without jump buttons; Hill Agency: Purity/Decay is a An Aboriginal web novel detective narrative adventure set in a post-apocalyptic future; Terra Nil is a reverse city builder about ecosystem rebuilding from Devolver Digital; and you can download a demo for the survival horror experience Signalis.
