At the end of the year, Valve takes stock again on its Steam platform. Which titles were the most successful on the popular PC platform in 2021?
As every year, Valve publishes a list of the biggest hits on the widespread and popular PC platform Steam. Noteworthy: Even in 2021, apparently completely timeless classics such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive or Grand Theft Auto V will continue to be among the most popular and most played titles.
The following lists are published as usual without any specific ranking; So which game is actually the prime will not be announced. Valve also differentiates according to different levels: Platinum shows you the top 12, the gold tier contains the most played titles from ranks 13 to 24 and the silver tier from places 25 to 40. Valve evaluated data from January 1st to December 15, 2021.

According to Valve, Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and GTA 5 have now been in the top 12 for six years in a row, while PUBG: Battlegrounds and Rainbow Six: Siege have already been in the top 12 for five years. And: Despite all the criticism, Battlefield 2042 made it into the top 12.
