Thunderful and The Station announce SteamWorld is back steam world build.
Taking a well-known genre and giving it a unique twist, the game features a multi-layered city-building experience tasked with building a thriving town above ground while mining resources and dealing with monsters underground.
In the game, you are the architect of a mining town. Your job is to break ground and build homes for your steam robot citizens, keep them fed and entertained. You’ll also venture into the abandoned mineshaft beneath your town, which is rumored to be filled with ancient technology that holds the key to escaping impending doom.
You can expand your town using natural resources above ground and ore buried in mines. You’ll need to spur new housing levels to join the quest to dig deeper, unearth riches, and help them leave Earth.
SteamWorld Builds have been developed on both PC and consoles simultaneously to ensure the game’s design, UX and UI work just as well with controllers as with mice and keyboards. The game has a user-friendly interface and three difficulty levels to choose from.
A demo of the SteamWorld Build is now available on Steam. To celebrate, all previous games in the SteamWorld series are now discounted on Steam as part of the SteamWorld Build Announcement Sale.
The SteamWorld Build will launch on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S later in 2023.
