SteelSeries is launching three new input devices in January. With the Rical 3 comes a new gaming mouse, complemented by Apex 3 and Apex 5, new models of the in-house keyboards.

The SteelSeries Rival 3 gaming mouse is based on several innovations. Thanks to a new polymer, the weight of the mouse was reduced to a mere 77 grams. In addition, the optical TrueMove Core is a new sensor with 8,500 DPI, which was developed in cooperation with the sensor professionals from Pixart. The mouse also supports up to five onboard profiles with RGB lighting, configurable with the SteelSeries Engine. The Rival 3 is expected to go on sale for 39.99 euros.

The waterproof Apex 3 keyboard comes with new, ultra-quiet switches that are said to survive up to 20 million keystrokes. Magnetic wrist rest, 10-zone RGB lighting, dedicated media buttons and volume control wheel are included. The keyboard also has cable guides on the underside. The Apex 3 is available for 79.99 euros.

The Apex 5 is a hybrid keyboard that is intended to combine the touch response of membr ane keyboards with the typing feel of blue mechanical switches with a click. In addition to an aluminum housing, the Apex 5 has a magnetic wrist rest, OLED display, media buttons and per-key RGB lighting. The OLED display can be provided with its own GIFs, but can also display in-game information for games such as CS: GO or DOTA2. The Apex 5 costs 129.99 euros.
