In the spirit of traditional hack-and-slash, Stellar Blade has plenty of red pixel juice flowing. The level of violence is by no means squeamish, which of course raises concerns about possible censorship. But the development studio Shift Up can now give the all-clear!
As can be seen from a posting by Shift Up, Stellar Blade will be released completely uncensored. The development studio doesn’t just mean certain regions, the title actually comes onto the market in every release country without cuts. So good news for fans of sophisticated butchery orgies.

The post on X (formerly Twitter) states: “Stellar Blade offers the same uncensored version in all countries, including the Japanese version.” The good news is accompanied by an image that shows a red X in front of a pixelated background, with the text “Uncensored in all countries” above it.
Definitely good news, because Stellar Blade isn’t squeamish. The demo already proved that body parts are constantly flying around and the main character Eve is not at all stingy with her feminine charms. Violence and sexuality, two areas that tend to shorten the gaming experience.
Stellar Blade will be released exclusively on the PlayStation 5 on April 26, 2024. The free demo mentioned was extremely popular; according to various reports, some players spent over 50 hours on the test version. The peak number of simultaneously active users was an incredible 690,000, so the Korean studio led by game director Kim Hyung-tae could have a successful release ahead.
