As respectable as this figure is for an essentially narrative adventure game, these 130,000 sales seem to reflect poorly the plebiscite whose game written and directed by George Kamitani is the subject in Japan among fans of the genre. We already mentioned in January the praises attributed by Masahiro Sakurai in his tribune at Famitsu or even the evaluations always on top on Amazon Japan, but we also saw the title stand out at the end of the week spent at Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2019.
Nominated by the vote of the players in the game of the year, creator of the year, best graphics and best new license categories, the Vanillaware game won above all the awards for the best scenario and the best narrative adventure game among all productions released in 2019 in Japan. All this to remind that Segatlus has not yet announced any western exit window, which would largely deserve one or two annoyed emoticons in the comments area.
In the meantime, Atlus will try to reach a new commercial level by organizing a very first promotion on the Japanese PlayStation Store. From April 24 to May 7, the game will be available for download for 7,408 yen (64 euros) instead of 9,878 yen (85 euros), which still makes it a particularly expensive title even after this 25% discount.
