The human desire to cross borders always brings amazing new insights and experiences. Man tries to surpass himself and this creates a fascination for the biggest, the fastest and the strongest things in the world.
The same must have happened to the Europe students at the University of Stuttgart who declared themselves as GreenTeam designate, because they have built a small speedster that makes it from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour in 1.461 seconds.
By way of comparison, a Bugatti Chiron goes from 0 to 100 in about 2.5 seconds, similar to Formula 1 cars that take between two and 2.5 seconds.
Faster, better, electric car
However, electric cars are known for accelerating much faster than combustion engines and so even a small team of Stuttgart students can surpass the acceleration speed of such automobile giants.
But even large manufacturers of electric cars cannot come close to such values with their series models, albeit just a little. Tesla can do it sea efahrer.de with the Model S Plaid in just under three seconds.
The previous record was set by the Swiss, who came to a respectable 1.513 seconds with their electric car.
Australia is also working to keep improving electric cars. You can find out how to power an electric car with printed plastic here:

A bolt of carbon
The record-breaking car, dubbed the E0711-12, is made of carbon, weighs less than 145 kilograms, has an electric powertrain that produces 180 kilowatts and has all-wheel drive. Accelerating from 0 to 100 in 1.461 seconds impacts the driver by 2.5g. That corresponds to 1,750 horsepower per ton.
But not only the technical performance of the GreenTeam is impressive, but also that of the driver, who dared to get into the driver’s seat again after an accident. On the first attempt, he had driven the car into a wall of tires. Time-consuming repairs then had to be carried out.
