It was only in February that a lot of gameplay from the new Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was shown as part of the PlayStation State of Play – but it will probably be a while before we can all play the game ourselves. The next shift should be in the house!
Rocksteady Studios has said goodbye to the Batman Arkham series and now wants to c ause a sensation with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The new title should actually be available for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S from May 26, 2023, but according to a new report nothing will come of it.
The renowned business magazine Bloomberg have therefore received information that Warner Bros. is about to postpone the release date of the game. If this report is true, then Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will not be available until a later date in 2023, which has not yet been specified.
The title recently made a big appearance as part of Sony’s PlayStation State of Play and received plenty of fresh gameplay. It was all about the co-op mode for four players. Various well-known characters such as Harley Quinn, King Shark, Captain Boomerang and Deadshot were also shown.
However, the presentation also caused some resentment among fans, after all, the title definitely requires an online connection, even if you play alone in single player. This is also due to the fact that various live service elements such as shoot & loot mechanics or a battle pass with all kinds of cosmetic items are being introduced.
As soon as the official confirmation is available, it would be the second postponement of the Rocksteady title, which was originally supposed to be available in 2022.
