Surprise! This great classic from the Star Wars universe is returning to our current consoles. It would be a real shame to miss it. A real little miracle.
Aspyr recently announced in a new trailer the release of the cult game Star Wars Bounty Hunter on all platforms on August 1, 2024. Originally released in 2002 for PlayStation 2 and Gamecube, this game will be available on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PlayStation, including next-gen consoles. A blessing!
Star Wars brings back this cult game
Excited fans can already pre-order the game and get a 10% discount. This initiative aims to attract both old fans of the game and new players, offering them a small financial benefit for their loyalty and enthusiasm. According to PlayStation Blog, this new version of Star Wars: Bounty Hunter will be enhanced with revamped graphics and PS5-specific features such as integrated adaptive triggers. These improvements aim to provide an even more immersive and modern gaming experience while remaining true to the original spirit of the game.
However, this announcement brings to mind previous concerns about Aspyr. In fact, the Star Wars Battlefront Classic collection, also released by Aspyr, received mostly negative reviews on Steam due to bugs and server issues. Despite a quick update, server issues could not be fully resolved, leaving players feeling dissatisfied.
Aspyr has since acknowledged critical errors related to its network infrastructure at the release of Battlefront Collection. Players hope that these lessons will be implemented at the release of Star Wars: Bounty Hunter to avoid the same mistakes.
