Take-Two Interactive could apparently have bigger plans for E3 2021, because there will presumably be several new announcements. Spoiler: Grand Theft Auto 6 is probably not there.
While the wait for the announcement of Grand Theft Auto 6 will probably continue, publisher Take-Two Interactive is apparently planning several other surprises for the approaching E3 2021. According to a new rumor, the company could announce several interesting titles, including a spin-off of the hit series Borderlands.
At least that’s what he reports Reddit-User Swin_flu_greg relying on a “trusted source”. This has leaked a list of unannounced projects from Take-Two and 2K games, which are to be confirmed at E3 next week.
Probably the biggest name on this list is a game called Wonderlands, it’s a spin-off from the successful Borderlands series. No major details are known about the actual game content, except that the title could also appear as Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. And: The setup consisting of several hero classes from the main series should also be adopted.
Such an announcement would be quite conceivable, after all, Borderlands developer Gearbox had previously confirmed that it wanted to bring a new game to market before April 2022. Corresponding trademarks for the two potential game names mentioned above already exist, according to the leaker. And: A Gearbox presentation is planned for June 12th.
The leak also lists a new game from the strategy and civilization experts at Firaxis. It should be about Marvel XCOM, acting as an XCOM spin-off with Marvel superheroes.
The third and final potential new title is named Codename Volt, but should still be in an early stage of development. The action game should come from the pen of the Mafia makers of Hangar 13 and will rely on supernatural elements. The leaker describes this project as a mix of Cthulhu and Saints Row.
