Take-Two obviously has some plans. As has now become known, the publisher has taken over a well-known studio for facial animation and everyone has probably seen something of it.
Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar and 2K Games, has acquired the French studio Dynamixyz. There have already been some collaborations with the studio, including for the titles Red Dead Redemption 2 and NBA 2K21. But the studio is also known outside of video games, and has also worked on series such as Love, Death & Robots and films such as Avengers: Endgame.
Dynamixyz has several proprietary technologies for motion capturing, face analysis and 3D processing, among other things. In the future, the studio will work exclusively with the company’s publishing labels and studios as part of Take-Two. One can assume that GTA 6, if it comes at some point, will be given the right cinematic look and the players in NBA 2K22 will probably look even more realistic.
