Update from February 28, 2021: The debacle about blocked accounts came to a good end for Google, the developer of Terraria and also video gamer: like Andrew Spinks in the official forums for his game announced, it was possible to reconcile with Google and reach an agreement.
# why-the-developer-lost-his-accountTerraria appears for Google Stadia after allafter Spinks originally on Twitter announced that the (at that time unannounced) port would be cut off. The head of the Re-Logic studio made this decision when he was locked out of his own accounts for weeks and received neither help nor answer from Google – you can read more about this in our original message.
On the official Terraria forums, Spinks shared the following statement:
“After a month of fighting (with huge support from our fans), Google finally got in touch and was able to give us a lot of visibility into the situation and regain access to our accounts. Because of the hard work that Both the Stadia team and our partners at 505 Games have made the decision to approve the upcoming launch of Terraria on Google Stadia. “
It is currently not known when exactly Terraria will be available on Google Stadia.
Original message from February 9, 2021: The last few weeks have been turbulent for the developer of Terraria. Because Google blocked the access of Andrew Spinks, the chief developer of the game, apparently for no good reason.
After Spinks tried to contact Google for three weeks according to his own testimony to solve the problem, he now responds with the Discontinuation of Terraria’s Stadia port.
Why did the developer lose his account?
Terraria’s official Twitter channel posted at the end of January 2021 that the developers had lost access to their YouTube and Gmail accounts. The exact reasons for this are not apparent to them themselves. The last Activity of the channel was the release of the trailer for Terraria 1.4.1 in October 2020.
The team then spent several hours trying to get a response from Google. When that was unsuccessful, they explained the situation on Twitter and again tagged the YouTube account, hoping to be able to resolve the matter that way. Unsuccessful.

Andrew Spinks spoke up again on February 8, 2021. As a result, his access has been blocked for three weeks now and any effort to find a solution with Google is in vain.

Out of frustration: Stadia version is no longer available
Loss of email and cloud: Most of all, Spinks is frustrated with the loss of his data. Not only does he lose access to apps in the Google Store, in which, according to his own statement, he would have invested “thousands of dollars”. Likewise, he can no longer access all the data in Google Drive and the e-mails from his address, which he had for 15 years.
Now he draws his conclusion: In a total of three tweets, Andrew Spinks explains that he does not want to do business with a company that “values its customers and partners so little”. He himself is convinced that he has not broken Google’s terms and conditions, which means that the ban is not justified and incomprehensible to him.
This announcement is also the first official information that the game should appear on Google’s streaming platform at all. The only other evidence of it was one Evaluation on the PEGI website, the counterpart to the USK in the USA.

Whether this is a mistake or a misunderstanding between Google and the developer of Terraria remains to be seen. At the time of publication of this article, Google has not yet responded to the discontinued Stadia port. An agreement or reconciliation is not completely ruled out despite the “burned bridges”.
What will happen to the Android version?
While Terraria should no longer appear for Google Stadia (at least at the current state of affairs), the future of the Android version is still uncertain. It was only updated on December 4, 2020 and has been since then via detours Crossplay compatible with the PC version.
At the current time you can play the game still in the Google Play Store buy, download and play too. However, given the current situation, it is possible that it will disappear in the near future. Unless, of course, Spinks and Google come to an agreement after all.
The end for the Android version? However, that doesn’t have to be the end of Terraria on Android. This version of the game does not necessarily require the Google Play Store. For example, it would be possible for the developer to simply sell the mobile version of the game via their own website. However, there are currently no announcements in this direction.

Terraria put to the test: finally a masterpiece after 9 years
Overall we could just two major criticisms discover. For one thing, the presentation is a bit out of date after all these years. And if you want to start over with the game, you may be overwhelmed by the somewhat unclear game context.
