Not so long ago nobody would have believed it, and yet: Thanks to a clever and damn caliber formula, the Streets of Rage 4 series has awakened from its silence after 25 years of absence. As heir to a certain level in the video game, the Beat’em All had benefited from an old release in the box, now slightly surpassed by the arrival of the Mr. X Nightmare DLC. It couldn’t go on.

Video games and computers, the same fight? At a time when many economic models are relying on DLC and other micropayments to make costly developments profitable, the most patient players are often rewarded for their perseverance.

After the developer trio LizardCube / Guard Crush Games / Dotemu had played the card of nostalgia via editions that pick up on the aesthetics of the Mega Drive boxes, this time, for the sake of completeness, the decision was made to announce an anniversary edition (the game was released on April 30, 2020 ) and in summary:
Lovers of physical goods: @MergeGamesLtd will release a physical Anniversary Edition pack of Streets of Rage 4 + Mr. X Nightmare on disc, currently available on March 24th.

Publisher Merge Games will release a physical anniversary edition with Streets of Rage 4 and the Mr. X Nightmare DLC on disc. Publication of this issue is scheduled for September 24th
Collectors who have not yet fallen for the game or any of its physical editions can therefore be congratulated on their patience and wait for the Streets of Rage 4 Anniversary Edition to arrive on Switch and PS4 on September 24th. And remember that for the others Mr. X Nightmare DLC is out today for PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One.
