After several days of rumors, Microsoft puts an end to the rumors. This time, one of the biggest games in the Activision catalog will join Xbox Game Pass.
It’s been a busy July of announcements for Xbox Game Pass members. Like every month, subscribers can try out the latest releases as soon as they’re released, including Dungeons of Hinterberg, Flintlock The Siege of Dawn and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. What they will remember, however, are the changes introduced by Microsoft to curb the losses caused by the historic acquisition of Activision-Blizzard. Price increases for XGP Ultimate, exclusion of day one availability from certain plans and the possible launch of a cloud-only offer… things are about to change. And now Microsoft confirms a persistent rumor by revealing a new surprise for Xbox Game Pass in July 2024.
Call of Duty is included in Xbox Game Pass
This time it’s official. The rumor had been circulating for a little over a week. Before the release of Call of Duty Black Ops 6, some other Activision games would be added to the Xbox Game Pass catalog by the end of July. Two names were mentioned: COD Modern Warfare 3 and the latest Crash Bandicoot. Tom Henderson and his fellow insiders have once again put it in a nutshell, at least halfway for now. Microsoft has just confirmed that the latest Call of Duty will join Xbox Game Pass to close the month of July and, above all, to counterbalance the recent series of announcements.
The wait will not be very long, since the date is rumored to be this Wednesday, July 24. Console, PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will then be able to play all the content made available since the release of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and, in particular, discover Season 5 from its launch.
A Season 5 that once again promises to be rich in content. Players can count on new maps and, above all, an almost improbable collaboration with WWE with a brand new game mode. Budding soldiers will then be able to play as Cody Rhodes, Rey Mysterio and Rhea Ripley as operators in the WWE Summer Slam event as soon as the game arrives on Xbox Game Pass.
