The MMORPG Throne and Liberty shows off stylish looks and lots of action in the new trailer
Genre: MMORPG | developer: NCSoft | Release: 1. October (Steam)
At a time when many online role-playing games such as World of Warcraft are increasingly focusing on solo content and casual players, dares Throne and Liberty another way. With this MMORPG, the Guild Wars makers from NCSoft and Amazon Games are putting the focus back on the “massive” in MMORPGs.
The endgame of Throne and Liberty revolves around large-scale guild activities: Whether castle sieges, raids or huge PvP battles with hundreds to thousands of players – teamwork is required here. If you want to exploit the game’s full potential, you should join a dedicated guild.
There are no fixed classesinstead you choose from different types of weapons and combine them as you wish. The pretty open world can be quickly explored at any time at the touch of a button, as your character can transform into all kinds of animals – so you can glide off cliffs as an eagle or swim through water as an otter.
By the way, the game is based on a Free2Play-Modell: There is an in-game shop and a battle pass, but the developers emphasize that you have to earn crucial pieces of equipment and that they cannot be purchased.
You can find out in our preview whether it might be worthwhile for you to try it out for free:
