It’s always that way with single player games. Once through and down on the stack or is there something else to come? The latter is apparently the case with The Callisto Protocol.
Striking Distance Studio’s The Callisto Protocol is awaited with much anticipation, as many players are hoping for a spiritual successor to the Dead Space series. Now the news is making the rounds that the single-player title will get some additional content after its launch on December 2nd.
In an interview with True Trophies As part of gamescom, CTO Mark James apparently stated that Striking Distance Studios regards the game as “full service” and will receive full support for at least one year, and that also means DLCs: “We view this as a full service title and we will be investing in DLC. We’re looking at a full year of support after release.”
What awaits us there is still completely open. However, the developers emphasize that the game world of The Callisto Protocol is expandable. In what form, however, remains questionable: “We have created a world that can tell different stories, and so we can either tell these stories through DLC, or we could actually tell these stories through subsequent products. We left that open. “
So far there has been a linear campaign, but different modes are also conceivable. For example, you can still tell the whole story of the prison break without even touching on the linear story. So it will be exciting to see what the studio will actually deliver in terms of content.
