Since Cyberpunk 2077 was released, various personalities and gamers in the video game industry have spoken out about CD Projekt RED’s role-playing game and the controversy that has come with it. This time it is about the support of Japan, which the Polish studio certainly did not expect.

As for many years, Masahiro Sakurai has published a new editorial in the columns of the Japanese magazine Famitsu. And among the topics that were dealt with this time were Cyberpunk 2077
Obviously, the director of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was characterized in a good sense by CD Projekt RED’s decision to reimburse unfortunate players with the console version:
Managing refunds this way is very touching, even for someone like me. This type of writing is unparalleled.
I wholeheartedly support this game because they treated the refunds with sincerity. The least we can say is that this view is not dominant. Masahiro Sakurai clearly seems to be convinced of the good faith of CD Projekt RED.

As for the game itself, the Japanese game designer appreciated the experience despite its shortcomings. He also seems impressed with the amount of work that went into making such a game:
I played it on PC first. I have seen mistakes many times.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a dream game. I wonder how much planning and production it takes.
The difficulty of getting an AAA game published on multiple platforms is so great that (in other words, the game as it exists now) is enough to tell me it’s wonderful. Kirby’s creator seems to be looking at things from the point of view of a game designer who understands the difficulties involved in such a process. And that obviously plays with his feelings.
But as the reactions of a Polish government agency, some investors and lawyers, Sony and, of course, actors in the state where Cyberpunk 2077 was released show, there are many who do not share the Japanese developer’s point of view.
