1. The auspicious setting of The Cycle: Frontier

The Cycle: Frontier is set in a sci-fi setting where humanity has colonized the planet Fortuna III. Over the years, the peaceful planet has been exploited more and more until it started to fight back. People were forced to retreat to the Prospect Station space station, but this did not quench their thirst for resources. As a prospector, you go back to Fortuna III on dangerous missions and try to salvage the valuable materials. There you have to defend yourself against the enemy flora and fauna as well as other prospectors.

2. Fun gameplay with thrill

The individual rounds come up with an exciting mix of PvE and PvP battles. A server instance runs for six hours and offers space for 17 fighters and on the second map even for 26. Should a space become free, new prospectors can join during the entire game time – so you never have to worry about being the last one on the server at some point to be. On Fortuna III you collect various resources. If you want to bring this to the station, you have to reach one of your two exfiltration points with it. So this all-or-nothing mechanic always moves you to weigh opportunities and risks. Not only the aliens of different strengths pose a threat, but also all other players who, in case of doubt, also want your valuable loot. This creates an exciting hunter and hunted feeling with guaranteed thrills.

3. Motivating progression and crafting system

To better protect you from the dangers of Fortuna III, The Cycle: Frontier has a motivating progression and crafting system. You can use all the materials you collect to craft higher and higher quality gear. From a bigger backpack to better armor and reinforced medikits to weapon attachments. You can also use it to expand your quarters. This allows you to produce more in-game currencies, increase your inventory or improve the daily delivery of weapons and equipment. This allows you to tackle increasingly difficult challenges.

4. The three factions and their tasks on Prospect Station

There are three factions you can earn from the Prospect Station space base. The Korolev are a more down-to-earth mining faction, the ICA is all about resource gathering, and Osiris is a classic science corporation. Complete increasingly difficult quests and recurring jobs that will always take you to new places on Fortuna III. Better weapons and equipment as well as materials for the expansion of your quarters beckon as a reward. For quick progress in the game, you should not ignore the factions and their quests.

5. Great game for soloists and co-op players alike

You can play The Cycle: Frontier solo or in a squad. While soloists focus on their personal quests and have an advantage when proceeding more cautiously, co-op players can tackle completely different challenges. With more weapon power, larger and stronger hordes of aliens can be defeated and more dangerous places where there is better loot can be found. But be careful, in contrast to other games there is no revive and the loot can no longer be divided among the individual squad members afterwards. Soloists can also spit in the soup with co-op players and don’t have to hide.
