Ever since Postology ended, Disney has decided to bet a lot on the Star Wars series. And one of them is in the best hands!
There are some franchises that never seem to get old. Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings are part of. But if we want to talk about a license that saw the light of day right on the screen, we can also quote war of stars. The original trilogy by Georges Lucas is an iconic work of science fiction. And if the following films and projects were not always unanimous, their popularity with the general public cannot be denied. On the other hand, it’s clear that criticism has been livelier since Disney regained the rights.
Change of course at Disney and Lucasfilm
Kathleen Kennedy had partially justified the criticism received from Disney war of stars by the overabundance of films: five in less than five years. From 2015 to 2019, the three Postlogie episodes and two spin-offs were released. To address this problem, the President of Lucasfilm expressed Disney’s desire to slow down the pace of feature films and focus more on series.
When we leave the saga [des Skywalker], we all have this great and exciting work on the television side. We’re working with amazing talent, people who really care about what the next installment of Star Wars is going to be like and who want to bring people back to theaters. So we really want to come back with a big project.

So, in this 2022 interview, Kathleen Kennedy explained that it’s all about betting on the Disney+ series and releasing “the right” movie at the right time. And what could be nicer than being able to rely on it “big talent” ? We were thinking at the time of big names like Taika Waititi, who is working on a feature film war of stars. But we were far from imagining that these terms could also apply to the Daniels, directors ofEverything everywhere at once. And yet!
A series war of stars who is discreet
The American magazine The Hollywood Reporter shared a big scoop earlier this week. According to his sources, the Daniels are currently working on a project war of stars
Little information is known about this Skeleton Crew. But we do know that Jon Watts is already behind the trilogy Spiderman of the MCU, will also direct some episodes, while Jude Law will star. As for the Daniels, we hope they can add their touch of madness, the same ones they deserve Everything everywhere at once ses sept oscars.
