Indiana Jones, an upcoming series on Disney+
The website diversity The preview reveals that Disney and Lucasfilm have been in very serious talks about producing a series Indiana Jones. The company of the big-eared mouse is currently examining all possibilities to exploit the vein. That could be new films beyond the upcoming fifth part, other media – maybe games like Bethesda’s – and thus a program on the small screen.
If it succeeds, the series would air on Disney+, but we’re not there. The company is still looking for a lead writer to complete this draft of the TV show, so there’s no plot yet. It also begs a question: will Harrison Ford take back his hat and whip? No, at least not as an adventurer being bullied by Nazis and co. The legendary actor has already done it his departure from the rolebut why not have a seat without having to perform dangerous stunts?
It’s possible on paper, especially since, as Variety reminds us, it wouldn’t be the first time. ABC aired the series from 1992 to 1993 The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles which, as the name suggests, focused on the character’s youth. Viewers still got a brief glimpse of Ford in one episode.
