The Elder Scrolls Online will be back to business soon. The new annual event Tore von Oblivion starts in March and a new expansion called Blackwood is waiting for you.
Corona or not – there will be another year-round event in The Elder Scrolls Online in 2021. The same has already been teased and goes by the name Tore von Oblivion, but now there is more detailed information about it. In the event, you will mess with the Daedra Lord Mehrunes Dagon, 800 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Bethesda and Zenimax remain true to their line of integrating the well-known locations from the solo role-playing games in their MMO.
The first preparations will start in March, especially in the form of the DLC Flames of Ambition, which should already provide you with some new dungeons. The DLC for PC, Mac and Stadia is expected to be available on March 98, followed by the console versions for Xbox and PlayStation on March 16.
As in the previous year, a new expansion is planned with Greymoor. It’s called Blackwood and is scheduled to hit the market on June 1st (PC, Mac, Stadia) or June 8th (PS / Xbox). The expansion includes a good 30 hours of main story with various side quests. The new chapter will take players from the walls of the Imperial City of Leyawiin to the murky Swamps of Shadowfen and into the Darkforest area. There is also a new game system, namely the companions. Additional content includes a new exam, world events, rewards, and more.
The companion feature will be especially popular with solo players who no longer have to trudge alone through Tamriel. You can hire NPCs who will fight by your side from now on. These companions can be leveled and equipped with equipment, they also have combat characteristics and certain behaviors.
In the fall it will continue with another DLC with dungeons in the third quarter, as well as a story DLC, which includes the conclusion of the annual event with a finale in the dead lands in the fourth quarter. Further information on the new content in the 3rd and 4th quarter will be announced. You can find the first images in our gallery for ESO: Blackwood.
