First announced last year, Phantom Blade Zero returned to put on a show at Summer Game Fest 2024 with gameplay that makes you want to play it.
Phantom Blade Zero had already shown promise when it was first announced last year and it returns in great form at Summer Game Fest 2024. It is also the PS5 exclusive developed by the Chinese studio S-GAME and closed the opening ceremony of the festival organized by Geoff Keighley, and in a very nice way.
Phantom Blade Zero reappears and puts on a show
When it was first announced, Phantom Blade Zero only introduced its universe with a cinematic trailer, which was already promising. The Chinese action RPG showed off some decent gameplay this time around, and it’s still just as promising. Sekiro fans should definitely find what they’re looking for, with fights that focus on mastered parries to stun the enemy and deliver a blow that’s as deadly as it is noble. Our character should definitely have a comprehensive arsenal. And that won’t be too much to face enemies that are as formidable as they are varied.
The artistic direction of Phantom Blade Zero is also unrivaled, with very beautiful graphics in a delightfully dark atmosphere. Unfortunately, S-GAME did not take the opportunity to indicate the release date for PC and PS5. For now, we will have to make do with just a demo around the world. The title will be shown at the Summer Game Fest in Los Angeles, at the end of July at ChinaJoy in Shanghai, then at the end of August at Gamescom in Cologne and finally at the end of September at the Tokyo Game Show. You know where to spend your holidays if you want to test this promising game.
