New announcement about Dragon Age 4 and a new pleasant surprise. Veterans of the BioWare license will definitely like this, but not only that.
With Dragon Age 4 The Veilguard, BioWare wants to get back to what it does best: telling a compelling story through the prism of lovable and memorable characters. This is exactly the announcement that interests us here, with some nice surprises in terms of the cast, both in terms of the characters themselves and their original voice actors.
Dragon Age 4 has a very nice voice cast
Until now, we had only found out that Dragon Age 4 would mark the return of Varris and Solas, two characters that players met in Inquisition, and with their original interpreters. New companions can help our character in his quest. BioWare announced this in a blog article that will lend their voice to each of them. And in that sense, we are entitled to a great casting:
- Ali Hillis returns to the fray in Dragon Age 4 as Harding the Dwarven Scout, a hero from Dragon Age: Inquisition with a big heart, a positive attitude, and a bow at the ready—as well as unexpected magical powers.
- Ike Amadi as Davrin, a brave and charming Shadow Guardian who has made a name for himself as a monster hunter.
- Jee Young Han as Bellara, a creative and romantic veilwalker obsessed with discovering ancient secrets.
- Jessica Clark as Neve, a cynic who fights for a better future both as a private investigator and as a member of the Tevinter rebels.
- Jin Maley as Taash, a dragon slayer allied with the Lords of Fortune who loves adventure and is not afraid to take risks.
- Nick Boraine as Emmrich, a necromancer, accompanied by a skeleton assistant, Manfred, played by Matthew Mercer.
- Zach Mendez as Lucanis, a level-headed and pragmatic assassin who comes from a criminal organization known throughout Thedas.
- Rook, the player’s customizable avatar in Dragon Age 4, has four voice actors: Alex Jordan, Bryony Corrigan, Erika Ishii, and Jeff Berg.
There are still nice surprises to discover for veterans of the franchise
However, this would be just the hidden face of a huge iceberg of other characters that we will meet in Thedas, the place where Dragon Age 4 takes place. In a new blog post, BioWare has published a list full of other protagonists, both new and notable returnees. Among the surprising returnees in Dragon Age 4 is, in particular, the Inquisitor himself, our character from the previous opus.
However, BioWare points out that there are many other yet-unrevealed characters waiting for us, teasing that many actors will be there to reprise their iconic roles from previous games. Who said anything about Morrigan? However, we will have to wait until the fall on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series to discover the full cast of Dragon Age 4, which promises BioWare’s long-awaited return to form.
