Korean developer Nexon is eager to compete with co-op shooters like Destiny 2 or Warframe. The First Descendant goes into beta this fall.
Nexon is on the way to creating an alternative to co-op shooters like Warframe or Destiny 2. The First Descendant is described as a free-to-play cooperative third-person role-playing game/shooter hybrid. In the game, the player becomes a “descendant” and is given the mission to fight against invaders to protect the continent of Ingris and all the people who live on it.
As usual in the genre, you can play different characters with different fighting styles and abilities. In addition to plenty of guns, gadgets such as grappling hooks are also used. Up to three firearms, four secondary gears, and various sub-weapons can be equipped. With up to four players, you can then face several opponents and huge bosses at different levels of difficulty.
Visually, the sci-fi fantasy mix relies on the Unreal Engine 5 and offers quite opulent graphics. You can find out exactly what that looks like apart from the teaser trailer in October. On Steam from 20.10. until 26.10. a beta phase, for which you sign up Register on the game’s Steam page can.
