The Game Awards ceremony is a real melting pot for everything directly and indirectly related to video games. In addition to game announcements and trailers for titles that have already been announced, other projects that have more or less to do with video games will also be shown during the event. For example, during the 2021 edition, viewers were treated to a movie trailer from a game or a technical demo for a range of films. But that’s not all. The adaptation of a serial game that has been in the works for years has finally shown.
Fans of gloriole and the curious can finally discover the first trailer of the Halo Live series. Paramount didn’t come to the Game Awards 2021 with the only trailer for Sonic 2, the film. The American studio also took the opportunity to show its Halo series.
A big tease as a trailer
This first Halo trailer features several protagonists from the series. Master Chief is therefore embodied by Pablo Schreiber. Dr. Catherine Halsey, Soren-066 and Cortana will be camping by Natascha McElhone, Bokeem Woodbine and Jen Taylor.
The broadcast of Paramount’s Halo series will mark the culmination of a ten year old project. As early as 2009, the famous director Steven Spielberg applied for the rights to adapt the games presented by Bungie. The project was formalized at the Xbox One announcement conference in May 2013. However, it was revealed that the latter would ultimately become a TV series.
The Halo series, a long-term project
Like the movie Uncharted, the Halo series has seen many changes on its team. Years of development and a pandemic later, it seems that the Halo series is finally about to be released. Originally, this adaptation was to be broadcast on television. However, the project was transferred to the Paramount + service.
Across the Atlantic, the Halo series will therefore air on Paramount + in 2022. Nothing has yet been communicated about a possible broadcast in France. It would be surprising, however, if Master Chief didn’t land on French screens.
