This year's broadcast of The Game Awards once again set records. The awards ceremony became the most watched event in history.

With The Game Awards 2024, the format also celebrated its 10th anniversary since it was first broadcast – and the awards ceremony was able to set records again this year. Something similar had already been successively achieved in recent years, but the 2024 edition once again topped it off.

Data collected via Streams Charts now shows that The Game Awards 2024 was the most watched edition since its inception. At its peak, there were more than four million viewers at the same time for the first time. Various co-streamers and watch parties also helped.

According to the report mentioned, the peak across various channels was 4,003,578 viewers at one time. Overall, the viewing hours for the event totaled a whopping 15,267,555, spread across 1,498 channels that were logged into the event.

Many of the spectators were obviously more than satisfied with this year's edition, which also included a number of very big announcements. Among other things, The Witcher IV, the new Naughty Dog game Intergalactic, a new Virtua Fighter, Elden Ring Nightreign and Mafia: The Old Country were announced and shown.
