Batman Arkham back in Rocksteady? A discovery has been made after reassuring revelations about the franchise emerged during the conclusion of Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League.
It's not what players would have imagined or even wanted, but Batou has made a successful return with Batman Arkham Shadows. A new canon adventure whose story is set between two episodes of the Rocksteady Studios trilogy, Arkham City and Arkham Knight. If you own Meta Quest 3, it is one of the must-haves in virtual reality, both because of the quality of this story in the Gotham vigilante universe, and because of all the positive points directly linked to the VR experience itself .

Rocksteady returning to Batman Arkham after Suicide Squad?
Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League is officially dead with the release of the final season 4. During the final episode, Harley Quinn makes a revelation to players: Batou didn't pass the gun to the left. Or rather, the Dark Knight killed in Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League is not the real vigilante, but a simple clone. What does that mean? Well, thanks to this ruse, Warner Bros. can reboot the Batman Arkham series with a new game without too much trouble.
Does this automatically confirm the return of the Batman Arkham saga in the coming years? We can never be sure, but the opposite would be surprising. Warner Bros. Discovery said it is open to the possibility of lending its most prestigious licenses to other studios, which inevitably includes the Rocksteady Studios franchise. And in fact, it's already happened since Batman Arkham Shadows was developed at Camouflaj, the studio behind Marvel's Iron Man VR.
At the moment we don't know if Warner has entrusted Rocksteady with a new Batman Arkham game. But something is brewing in the English studio, as the LinkedIn profiles of two developers show. One of them, Richard Spiers, a software development engineer, explains that he is working on one unannounced game. If we refer to the other team member, construction would have started in June 2024. After the loss of the community with Suicide Squad Kill the Justice, is a new Batman Arkham from Rocksteady possible? Definitely yes, but we'll have to see if Warner gave the green light or not. Unfortunately, following the failure of its gaming service, the studio was hit by two waves of layoffs, which may be a bit worrying going forward.
