Two years after World War Z was released, Saber Interactive sets the scene again with a new episode called Aftermath, revealed by IGN during the Summer of Gaming.

We thought the zombies were out of style, but the joy of seeing players knock down hordes of the living dead seems alive and well. Saber Interactive understood this well and therefore developed this brand new work that still uses the famous Paramount license.
And World War Z: aftermath won’t revolutionize the genre, but it will still bring many new features with it. On the technical side, we’re promised 4K 60 FPS on the next generation platforms, which is pretty impressive considering the number of enemies to display.
Zombie nation
Specifically, the game will continue to rely on 4-player co-op, but this time a whole new body-to-body combat system will be implemented. Better still, Saber offers us a complete crossplay between the different platforms and new destinations such as Rome, the Vatican or the Kamchatka Peninsula.
World War Z: aftermath will be available later this year on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | Land S.
