The games confirmed in July are tough!

confirmed, Games, July, tough

Some of the games added to Xbox Game Pass in July 2023 are already known. Subscribers can discover some productions immediately after their release.

The destructive Xbox Game Pass for developers? This is what Jim Ryan said during his speech in connection with the lawsuit between the FTC and Microsoft. For the big PlayStation boss, the subscription service is “ hated the editors, who consider it to be value-destroying. Some stakeholders who have included their productions in the catalog quickly spoke up to defend Xbox Game Pass, such as Bohemia Interactive, to which we owe ARMA, or DayZ, who see this offer as a complement to the classic model. In any case, every month many publishers come forward to present their productions to millions of subscribers, be it on the Microsoft or Sony side. More specifically, we already know some of the July 2023 Xbox Game Pass games.

Games confirmed for Xbox Game Pass July 2023

We now know the melody by heart. At the beginning of each month, Microsoft announces the first games that will strengthen the Xbox Game Pass catalog. The first wave of July 2023 will be officially announced in a few days, but you won’t have to wait that long to find out what’s in store for us in the coming weeks. Several games have already been confirmed. They generally match the day-one availability on the subscription service and productions revealed last week. This month we can expect at least six novelties, including Capcom’s next multiplayer game with the wrong airing of Dino Crisis. Here is the Xbox Game Pass July 2023 schedule:

  • Arcade Paradise (July 3) – Console, PC
  • Sword & Fairy 7: Together Forever (5 July) – Console, PC
  • Exoprimal (July 14) – Console, PC
  • Techtonica (July 18) – Console, PC
  • The Wandering Village (July 20) – Console (PC to be announced)
  • Venba (July 31) – Console (PC to be announced)

Introducing the Xbox Game Pass games of the month

Of course, this is only part of the games that will be added throughout the month. So it only remains to wait the next few days to fully discover the first wave of Xbox Game Pass for July 2023. In the meantime, here is a small presentation of the confirmed games:

Arcade Paradise (Console & PC) – July 3rd

No exit day one, but a small standalone game that has little impact. Welcome to Arcade Paradise, a retro title that smells good of the 90’s. You play as Ashley, who has just received the keys to the family laundry and decides to convert the business into an arcade. Choose from over 35 games, all inspired by three decades of video game history, and build the space of your dreams. A frankly appreciated title that gets a nice 9/10 on Steam.

Sword and Fairy 7 (Console, PC) – July 5th

Delve into the heart of a kingdom that blends ancient mythology with traditional oriental aesthetics. Sword and Fairy Together Forever is the very last episode of the almost thirty-year RPG series, which is still quite unknown to us. It tells the story of three clans: humans, gods and demons. The developers promise unforgettable characters with unique abilities, strengths and weaknesses. An Xbox Game Pass game that will keep you busy for at least 25 hours.

Exoprimal (July 14) – Console, PC

Capcom dreams of a return to Dino Crisis and brings you Exoprimal. In this online action game that mixes PvP and PvE, a group of humans in exoskeletons must face off against hordes of wild dinosaurs. There will be a total of ten exoskeletons available at launch, each with a different role and abilities. Understand that some will be tank, DPS, or support classes with specializations. The game will therefore be available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers immediately upon release, and that might not be such a bad thing.

Techtonica (July 18) – Console, PC

Another day one release in Xbox Game Pass. Techtonica is a first-person factory building game set beneath the surface of an alien planet. A title that can be played alone or in cooperation. The goal of the game is simple: build factories, develop destructible terrain, optimize harvesting and production, and why not discover long-hidden secrets?

The Wandering Village (July 20) – Console

Another small indie game that caused quite a stir. The Wandering Village is a post-apocalyptic city building simulator like no other. As mysterious plants populate the earth and spread poisonous spores, a group of survivors find sanctuary on the back of a giant wandering creature with whom they must form a symbiotic relationship. Become their leader, manage and grow the colony, and complete the challenges of founding a colony on the back of a colossus.

Venba (July 31) – Xbox Game Pass console

If you (like me) follow the Wholesome Games Showcase diligently, then you have probably heard of Venba. Cooking takes center stage in this atypical narrative independent game. The story takes place in the 1980s when a mother immigrates to Canada with her family from India. Cook different dishes, recreate forgotten recipes, and chat with the rest of your family about multiple choices. A day one release on Xbox Game Pass, its story therefore explores themes of family, love, loss and more.
