Sony has lifted the veil on the games being added to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalog in August 2024, and we’re looking at a very strong selection featuring one of the best RPGs of recent years.
The month of August got off to a good start for PS Plus members. Anyone subscribed to the service was able to pick up their trio of “free” games. A much brighter selection than last month’s, which consists of LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach and Ender Lilie’s Quietus of the Knights. Obviously there is already a lot to do in this Olympic summer, but the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalog for August will soon be expanded. Sony has revealed the identity of the new games added to PS Plus Extra and Premium in August 2024.
PS Plus Extra Games for August 2024
PlayStation Plus continues its little routine. After the games offered to all subscribers, it’s time for the new products in the Extra and Premium formula catalog. For newcomers, keep in mind that the publisher adds around ten more productions to these two offers every month. To give you an idea, Crisis Core FF7 Reunion and Remnant 2 were the headliners last month. In general, all genres are represented and there are titles of different sizes.
Will the manufacturer hit even harder with the selection of the PS Plus Extra in August 2024? A resounding yes, with The Witcher 3 at the top of the list and the excellent Cult of the Lamb, which recently received a new update and paid DLCs. The Sword Art Online license is clearly in the spotlight this month with four new additions to the catalog. Here are all the PS Plus Extra games for August 2024.

As always, these arrivals will also be accompanied by departures. If initially only five games leave the catalog, ultimately there will be twice as many. In the lot we find the excellent RPG Sea of Stars, Trials of Mana or even the great Moving Out 2. Here are all the games that will be removed from PS Plus Extra from August 20, 2024 before 11 a.m.:

You know the song by now, PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers also get to enjoy a number of additional classics. One of them was accidentally leaked by Sony: TimeSplitters.
