Dear GameStar readers,
What a great gaming year it was!? Starting with Hogwarts Legacy in February, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in May and Diablo 4 in June, Baldur’s Gate 3 in August, Alan Wake 2 in October and Pioneers of Pagonia in December.
If it were up to us, this could continue like this in 2024. This makes working fun! The fact that we feel really comfortable in our everyday editorial work is not only due to the fantastic games, but also to you. And we want to thank you very much for that.
Thank you for discovering the world of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom with us, for telling us your most absurd Baldur’s Gate 3 stories and for supporting positive cooperation. This is not a given, especially given the many controversies that have occurred in gaming this year.

Middle finger to the AAA industry: Baldur’s Gate 3 was no coincidence
Your comments, forum postings, emails and messages on social media make GameStar and us as the editorial team a little better every day. They let us know that we not only have the world’s best community here, but also one of the best jobs anyone could ask for. Thanks for that!
Into the new year with full strength
If the gaming year 2024 is even half as good as 2023, then the party will officially start here next year too. And even if there are still a few postponements or disappointing releases, we already have a lot of fantastic things planned independent of new games.
And now that Martin Deppe has finally returned home, we are prepared for all eventualities and with full special edition and guide power.
For example, there is the CAGGTUSs 2024, where we are once again participating as a media partner and hope to be able to meet some of you in person. And of course there are a lot of editions of Find Your Next Game planned again. Of course, we won’t let a canceled E3 stop us.

The GameStar team wishes you a Merry Christmas
You can see that 2024 will be a blast. And because we’re slowly running out of adjectives for “great,” let’s make it short and painless again:
We wish you a Merry Christmas with your loved ones, a few relaxing holidays and of course, as always, lots of fun playing!
