This is an initiative in collaboration with Wizards of the Coast.
We’ve been giving a cane to the Streets of New Capenna from Magic: The Gathering and, as we usually do with each new expansion, today it’s time to look at the decks that will most likely dominate the meta of the next few weeks in MTG Arena.
If you are looking for good small with which to climb positions in the Arena or want to know the most powerful combos of the current game, in these Magic Chronicles you’re going to swell If you haven’t done so yet, you’re going to be amazed at the possibilities of these new cardboards.
Black, red and green mallet
We give the starting signal with this black, red and green deck with Ob Nixilis as the main protagonist. I already anticipate that he will not be the only deck that takes advantage of the Planeswalker.
Supported by the formidable help of the Industry Titan and the combo of losing lives with the Tenacious Underrated and recovering them with the Workshop Warchief, control of the table is assured both in the first turns and when things start to get complicated.
There’s a good color balance, but it wouldn’t hurt to make getting all four of Ziatora’s Training Zone lands your top priority to start the deck off on the right foot.

white and blue mallet
Turn for a duo of white and blue colors in which the plains are the main engine of the game. Only three cards, Linvala, shield of Portal Marino, Angel of the metropolis and Pierce the spell, break the monochrome.
For the rest, we are facing the classic deck of angels that has given so many headaches to those of us who do not play it -and so many joys to those who do-. With Elspeth resplendent as the great asset of Streets of New Capennathe festival of flying bugs is more than guaranteed.
Combined with Sanctuary Warden, your opponent’s desperation can be epic, especially if you’ve been able to keep Giada, Source of Hope, on the board from the start of the game.

Blue, black and red deck
Here is another tricolor in which blue is just a brushstroke of its main strategy. Expressive Iteration, Kaito Shizuki, Órvar, the Ultimate Form, and Pierce the Spell will be the only cards we’ll use with that color in mind.
The rest are all old acquaintances from The Meathook Massacre except for a few -but glorious- exceptions such as the sum of Ob Nixilis, the Adversarythe Tenacious Underrated and Take your breath away.

White, blue and green mallet
Another one that blue passes by almost is this deck in which the trio of colors will allow us to play Lagrella, the Hoarder and his festival of +1/+1 for each exiled creature. An insane move that, together with the counters of the Supremacy of the Mediators, can cheat us at a devilish pace.
From Streets of New Capenna There are two other great protagonists. On the one hand, the Official, which will allow us to enjoy a good initial creature with the possibility of having a 3/3 with life steal as soon as the game begins.
On the other, the Crier of the skies, which will also help us to steal life in early turns and offers the possibility of drawing a card if we are in a hurry. Good mix in case Toski’s strategy doesn’t pan out mid-game.

- 2 Toski, Keeper of Secrets (KHM) 197

green mallet
I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see to what extent my dearest green deck with Esika’s Carriage and Wrenn and Seven combo could have continuity in the new meta of Streets of New Capenna.
You have the result below with the arrival of three great beasts such as the Workshop Warchiefthe industry titan and the bush crusher. The tokens of the first two are good combo meat with the Chariot.
On the other hand, Bush Smasher can be a good ally in the fight against fat bugs thanks to Blizzard Skirmish and Master’s Rebuke, so it’s good to have on hand. Enjoy it.
