The story is set in a dilapidated spaceship that has been submerged for centuries beneath an alien ocean, and is populated by the remnants of human civilization that are making the best of their harsh circumstances. Sure, it’s rough and a little wobbly, and there’s a sense that none of the bulkheads fit together quite as well as they should.
